Freshpedia Terms of Use

Last updated: October 30, 2026

Freshpedia (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is a guide that teaches you how to pick and store fresh food. These terms explain what you can expect from the app and what we ask of you in return. By downloading or using the app, you agree to these terms.

What the app is - and is not

Freshpedia provides general educational information about selecting and storing food: what fresh produce, meat, and fish tend to look like, common signs of decline, and typical storage guidance.

The app is not a food-safety service, and nothing in it is professional, medical, nutritional, or food-safety advice.

Please understand what this means in practice:

Guide photos are AI-generated illustrations of real freshness cues, verified against reference photography. They depict typical examples, not the exact item in front of you.

Purchases

The app offers optional paid content (“Pro”).

All payments are processed by Google Play (or the Apple App Store on iOS) under that store’s own terms. We never see or store your payment details.

Prices may change over time. Refunds and subscription management are handled through the store’s standard policies and your store account settings. Purchases unlock content for your personal use in the app; they do not transfer ownership of any content to you.

If you reinstall the app or move to a new device, use Restore purchases in Settings to get your paid content back.

The app checks your purchase with the store rather than taking the device’s word for it, so access ends if a purchase is refunded, or if a subscription is cancelled or lapses.

Using the app

You may use the app for your own personal, non-commercial purposes.

You agree not to:

All content in the app - text, guides, images, and design - belongs to us and is protected by copyright and other intellectual-property laws.

No warranties

THE APP AND ITS CONTENT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We work hard to keep the guides accurate and useful, but we do not warrant that the content is complete, current, or error-free, or that the app will always be available or work without interruption.

Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY ILLNESS, INJURY, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR LOSS OF DATA, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE APP OR RELIANCE ON ITS CONTENT.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE APP WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE APP IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions or liability limits, so parts of the two sections above may not apply to you. In those places, our liability is limited to the smallest extent the law allows.

Changes to the app and these terms

We may add, change, or remove features and content over time.

We may also update these terms. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above, and continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Termination

You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or end access to the app or its content if these terms are violated.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
